We are proud to share that our own Chris Moorehead recently graduated from the Construction Business Accelerator (CBA) program! The CBA is a partnership between the University of Kentucky and Turner Construction Company designed to help small and emerging construction businesses grow through intensive, hands-on training. Now in its fifth cohort, the program has produced 84 graduates across 72 companies since its founding in 2022.
Participants work through a rigorous curriculum covering safety, estimating, scheduling, contracts, insurance, and construction accounting, all capped off with a real-world mock bid project evaluated by industry experts. It is exactly the kind of training that strengthens a contractor’s ability to compete for public and commercial work while building lasting relationships in the local construction community.
