When Stephen and Ashley Anderson founded Flooring by Design in 2018, they built it on something bigger than business — a genuine love for the people and places of Central Kentucky. As a family-owned, woman-owned company based right here in Richmond, KY, we’ve always believed our success belongs to this community as much as it does to us.
That belief shows up in how we work, who we partner with, and where we show up when it counts. From charity events and tornado relief efforts to industry associations and local sponsorships, we’re proud to invest in the community that has invested in us.
Giving Back
We look for every opportunity to give back in the region we come from. Over the years we’ve participated in and organized holiday food drives, disaster relief efforts, and more — and we’re always looking for the next way to contribute.

We stay active across Central Kentucky — attending industry events, supporting local causes, and building relationships with the organizations that make this region what it is. Showing up matters to us, and we’re grateful to be part of a community that feels the same way.
Local Roots
Flooring is in our DNA. Stephen grew up in the industry, learning from his grandparents and parents who owned and operated flooring stores. Today, he and Ashley are raising their own family around this business — and around this community.
